Steve Howard is the senior-most partner at Wright & Co. and as one of the original employees has been part of the company for over 30 years. Steve has taken on almost every role in the organization during his tenure including laborer, senior project manager, IT guru, chief estimator and treasurer, and he has been a mentor to everyone who has ever worked in our office. Ken Wright credits him with setting the high standards that are followed within our project management department and helping us all learn how to communicate clearly. He balances this with one of the driest senses of humor that has us all laughing at unexpected moments.

Steve’s diverse talents are reflected in his history and outside interests. Having graduated as an English major from Vassar College, Steve served in the Peace Corps in Nepal and worked as a derrick hand in the oil fields in Wyoming, before joining Wright & Co. and raising his family in East Hampton. Steve is involved in prison reform programs and is a strong supporter of the Osborne Association, which seeks to transform the lives of those who have come into conflict with the law and to serve the community by reducing crime and its human and economic costs.
